Bioenergy Symposium 2013

Along with Kim Parmar, a fellow PhD candidate, I co-organised and coordinated a symposium held here at CEH Lancaster specifically for Early Career Researchers looking into bioenergy. The Bioenergy Symposium was held on the 21st and 22nd March 2013 and the flyer for the event can be found here. The event was well attended and ran over both days, comprising of five sessions of oral presentations. I was chair for all sessions, besides the one I presented in and ensured we ran on time so not a single minute of lunch was missed! The presentation I gave discussed how the efflux of CO2 emissions changed as a result of excluding roots and/or plant litter from the soil under a Miscanthus plantation.
